They can be played as solo instrument or as part of a multi-percussion set up. Meinl is a German cymbal and percussion company founded in 1951. initially the company produced wind instruments but by 1952 cymbals were in production.

Through out the years, Meinl has grown into one of the top brands when it comes to drums, cymbals, and percussion. In 1974 Meinl were the first cymbal company to offer pre set packs of cymbals and continue to do so to this day.
