Its dual-sided design enables effortless back-and-forth grating. The 13.6 x 5.7 cm blade is equipped with a PVD coating for enhanced scratch resistance, and its rubber handle provides improved grip for secure grating. Additionally, the grater comes complete with a plastic protective cover for maintaining a lasting sharp finish and it can be effortlessly washed in a dishwasher or with running water.

Microplane uses a chemical process called photo-etching, to produce their graters. The result is much sharper teeth and durable, ultra-sharp stainless steel blades.
