The doorbell button has a visual alert feature using a subtle LED light which illuminates when activated. This helps notify the "ringer" that the doorbell has been activated and prevents them from attempting multiple rings. The LED notification feature on the receiver illuminates the doorbell chime as a secondary alert feature.
