They are manufactured using a plant based polymer that is 100% biodegradable and industrially compostable in accordance with EN 13432 standards. The Bio-Based trays have an extremely low carbon footprint, official LCA calculations by Eurochain show that they produce 30% lower CO2 emissions than a similar tray made from recycled polypropylene. You can use these as stand alone seed trays, or tuck around 3-4 inside an existing water tray.
