The VP‐20's omni‐directional stereo microphones reliably capture the sound from all directions. And you can be sure the sound is crisp and clear thanks to the special Anti‐Rustle Filter.

This Olympus audio technology automatically identifies the difference between a voice and a rustling sound from your shirt to effectively suppress the unwanted sound. To start recording on the fly, simply slide up the REC switch on the top of the device. The voice recorder instantly starts recording even when the power is off.

The VP‐20 is also equipped with a combined microphone/earphone jack that supports external microphones such as Olympus TP‐8 Telephone Pick‐Up.
