Palm Equipment has designed the FXr PFD to be feature rich and to be a great starting point for getting into whitewater kayaking. This white water kayaking PFD fetures an over the head design, it also incorporates multiple sets of adjustment to achieve a snug and secure fit on the paddlers torso. The FXr has a 3d cut and this starts at the waist adjustment, there are then two further tension straps on each side of the chest, The final adjustment to achieve the optimum fit comes from the shoulder adjustment straps.

Some of the snug and secure fit also comes from the chest harness. This is also one of the main safety features. A chest harness can be used in multiple ways, with the addtion of the kayak cow tail it can be used to set up a secure anchor point.

The front of the FXr PFD then has a large pocket, there is also a second smaller pocket on the upper chest. The main pocket is easy to acces via a zip, the pocket is perfect for the storage of a kayak safety tape and a rescue karabiner. The second smaller pocket is accessed via a small press stud, this is perfect for storing a kayak safety knife.
