This allows the reciprocating saw to be powered by either a 14.4V or 18V battery, depending on the user's needs. For instance, a 14.4V battery is lighter and easier to use and allows for fast cutting through thin metal pipes. An 18V battery, on the other hand, provides increased working capacity and faster application speed for powerful cutting through thick metal pipes.

This technology is built into this reciprocating saw; it automatically detects the battery voltage and adjusts accordingly. This order is for a full cordless reciprocating saw kit, which provides everything needed to get started. This includes the reciprocating saw itself, 2 18V, 4.2 Ah Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries, a compatible charger and a carrying case.
