It seems a shame to chuck it as these last a long time (the old one was at least 40 years old). I did bend it down a bit as it was filling right up to the overfill outlet before I did that. High pressure, suitable for mains pressure water.

Use in cold water tank, central heating feed and expansion header tank, toilet cistern etc. Quieter than the part 1 version and offers better protection against backflow.
