Gedeo Modelling Clay fires in a kiln at 980 to 1050°C. The clay is ready to use straight from the packet. Please note the drying time for this clay varies from 2 to 5 days depending on the size of the piece as well as the environmental conditions.
When the piece is dry it can then be polished, carved, or drilled before firing. When firing the clay in a kiln the optimal temperature is 1050ºC and for 5 hours. There will be a shrinkage when firing.
