Made from tempered steel in a 12-point configuration, including horizontal front points, they provide good stability and solid purchase in steeper snow. Great for glacier travel and more technical mountaineering, they include anti-balling plates to reduce snow build-up. The Vasak includes two front bails for climbing versatility.

Use the stainless steel wire Fil bail with B3 mountaineering boots. For compatibility with B2 boots, choose the flexible nylon Fil Flex bail. Petzl's AlpenAdapt technology lets you adapt the crampon for different climbing disciplines and mountain terrains.

You can replace all the crampon's components - sold separately - including the front and rear sections and bails with other models. Swap a front section to better suit glacier travel, the binding to fit your new mountaineering boots, or the rear section to save weight. Petzl's unique system increases your product's lifetime and versatility.
