In addition to these features the 850 boasts a large 206mm jog wheel perfect for ease of use. Music format compatibility The controllers’ versatile media compatibility means that it can be used with either USB or CD-R/RW discs or the music formats can be in MP3, WAV, AAC and AIFF. Rekordbox Rekordbox music software allows you to manage and modify your music files e.g create and amend playlists, save the file history and adjust the settings.

Rekordbox allows for analysing the Beat Grid, BPM, Wave, Cue and Loop of music files. USB connectivity As the Rekordbox software stores the music files and settings it enables the data to be effortlessly transferred on to a USB storage device. The USB can then be inserted into the multi-player directly, without the need of a computer.

This enables the user to access and play straight from the CDJ-850 itself. Display capability The player is able to display information from the music file such as title, artist and BPM. In addition the use of the dial makes it fast and simple to select the music file wanted.

The interface also shows the WAVE display, useful for the user to see the flow of the song. Tag List Function The Tag List feature allows for a song to be selected (tagged) at the press of a button (even whilst playing a song). This is useful for creating a list of songs that the user wants to play next.

In addition to this the order of the songs that have been tagged can be amended and in turn the list can be saved as a playlist in Rekordbox.
