The bright yellow tube also excels in puncture safety and is twice as robust as conventional tubes. Outside of the tire, the Smartube should not be inflated beyond 0.5 bar. The material is less elastic than butyl, expands more significantly starting at 0.5 bar, and can lose its shape or even burst when unmounted.

It is only suitable for bikes with disc brakes.
