Despite its small stature, it still boasts large, ruffled blooms up to 15cm across, each plant carrying up to 20 sturdy flower stems. The flowers span a wide colour range with shades of white, pink, scarlet, salmon, orange and mauve all marked with a signature dark blotch at the base of the petals. With their distinctive silky blooms, oriental poppies launch onto the late spring and early summer scene with a flamboyant burst of colour.
