Gradually harden off any plants that are being planted outdoors after all danger of frost has passed.

In the UK the plants will need a well sheltered very sunny location to thrive outdoors. Under glass will be fine. The fruits are ripe and ready to harvest when the fruit fills the calyx and the husk bursts.
