To ensure durability and top performance, the windlass has an anodized aluminium in hard oxide base and an epicyclical gearbox that provides much higher efficiency (+40% compared to equivalent traditional gearboxes).

This windlass has a 6mm gypsy which is suitable for 6mm DIN 766 and 6mm ISO chain, as well as 1/2" (12.7mm) rope. (PLEASE NOTE these values refer to a three-strand polyester rope with a rope/chain splice manufactured with the Quick system).
