The mute fits to your instrument by squeezing together the A and D strings and then pushing the mute down over them. The two strings once released will engage in the mute to secure it into place. Not only does the Roth Sihon Mute reduce the volume of sound, it also helps to dampen the strings and reduce wolf tones.

This greatly eliminates the possibility of any unwanted sounds during every performance.
