The walls, lid and door are all made from pressure treated timber, so they are resistant to rot and insects. The walls and door are open-slatted square-edge boards, but the roof is made from half-lap boards to allow rainwater to run off of the unit. The lid is also hinged to allow easy access and lifting chains are provided to hold the bin lid open so you dont have to.

The unit is designed to be placed against a wall or fence as there are bracing struts but no rear wall. There is no floor, as the bin is to sit directly on the concrete or paving that you site the unit on. A Tower bolt is supplied to secure the door closed.
