For use on china clay and ceramics, it will not crack, craze or yellow in time and it stays completely clear. A single coating is usually touch-dry within 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the ambient temperature. Artists dry powder pigments can be mixed with Rustins Acrylic Ceramic Glaze.

It is compatible for use over some cellulose, acrylic, epoxy and oil-based paints. During preparation, the surface must be clean, smooth, dry, free from dust and contaminants. Rustins Acrylic Ceramic Glaze can be applied by brush or airbrush.

Under normal ambient conditions, it will take 10 days to fully cross-link and achieve maximum hardness. Only needs two to three coats, as required. Articles may be re-coated after one or two hours, depending on conditions - ideally 15-25°C.
