Monitoring the moisture content of wood can help eliminate shrinkage and swelling or warping and cracking.

It can also help to eliminate surface finishing problems. By inserting the two pins it measures the electrical resistivity between the pins. This reading is then displayed as a percentage of moisture found as both a percentage figure and bar graph.

The easy to read LCD display is illuminated and features a hold function to lock the reading. The meter is supplied with a probe cover, that as well as protecting the pins when not in use, can also be used for calibration. The meter automatically displays ambient temperature and has a small LED at its base to illuminate worksurfaces if required.

Powered by 4 x AAA batteries (not included) this is a very accurate and extremely simple to use moisture meter for woods and building materials.
