Utilising a 19mm wide x 9.5mm deep x 880mm long slider bar, the jig rides within the table saw mitre channel, remaining in perfect parallel alignment to the blade throughout the cut.
Universally compatible with table saws with an industry standard 19mm mitre channel, the supplied slider bar is mounted to the jig so that the edge of the jig abuts the blade. This zero clearance support ensures cleaner cuts, eliminating tear-out on the bottom face of the workpiece. The slider bar features 6 expansion discs to ensure zero side play and friction-free travel.
When used within T-slot mitre channels, the 22mm removable steel discs at the ends of the bar holds the bar level, stopping the jig from tipping should it be pulled back off the worktable. For table saws without a 19mm mitre channel, the jig can instead be used against the rip fence, without the slider bar. Measuring 800mm in length and 260mm in width, the jig provides ample support for long tapered cuts and is ideal for chair and table leg production.
Constructed from 25mm thick composite, the jig features a hard wearing, low friction melamine facing for effortlessly smooth travel. The two hold down clamps with no-mar pads can be positioned at any points along the jig, and together with the adjustable end stop, provide assured workholding with no drifting of the workpiece throughout the cut. The ergonomic, oversized handle ensures controlled feeding of the jig, and the entire jig can be re-assembled for use either side of the blade.
In addition to tapered cuts, this jig also allows for the straight line ripping of stock with rough and uneven edges, unable to be fed against a fence. When using the mitre slider bar, this jig is compatible with saws on which the inside edge of the mitre channel is no more than 240mm from the blade.
