Unlike typical skin instruments, the Schlagwerk Wooden Bongos do not have to be tuned, and do not alter or warp with humidity. The WBM100 Bongos are designed to be mounted onto a stand and played with the same finger techniques you would use on normal bongos. From the Hembra (the larger of the two drums) you gain warm, distinctive sounds, while the Macho is there to shine when playing solo.
