It features a super low profile design and optimized slant angle for light shifting action. The Shadow Plus uses a chain stabilising switch that reduces chain bounce in rough terrain, maintaining a stable drive and shifting. A single tension spring prevents contact with the chainstay, resulting in a silent ride.

The derailleur has 13T pulleys and decreased derailleur tension to prevent high chain tension in low gears. Direct cable routing prevents snagging from trail side hazards. The derailleur is made with cold forged wide alloy links and pivot body, and features fluorine-coated link pin bushings.

A strong return spring provides a positive shifting feel, and durable 13T bearing pulleys ensure low friction. The top normal spring uses the spring to select higher gears. This derailleur is suitable for use with a max low sprocket of 51T (1x 12-speed) and has a 41T capacity SGS cage.
