It features a super low profile design and optimized slant angle for light shifting action. The Shadow Plus design uses a chain stabilising switch to reduce chain bounce in rough terrain, maintaining a stable drive and shifting. A single tension spring prevents contact with the chainstay, resulting in a silent ride.

The derailleur also features 13T pulleys and decreased derailleur tension to prevent high chain tension in low gears. Direct cable routing prevents snagging from trail side hazards. The derailleur has a wide alloy links and pivot body, fluorine-coated link pin bushings, and a strong return spring for a positive shifting feel.

It also features durable 13T bearing pulleys for low friction. The top normal spring uses the spring to select higher gears. It has a max low sprocket of 51T and a 40T capacity SGS cage, making it suitable for 1x 11-speed systems.
