    Maintenance There is little maintenance required. It is recommended to clean the blade after each use. After cleaning it is recommended to oil the sickle, and store moisture-free.

    If you notice that the sickle is cutting less well, you can sharpen it using the Okatsune whetstone (Okatsune 412). The difference between 404 and 405 is the thickness of the blade.
