The head plate incorporates a quick release collar to easily remove and store a mounted camera or tripod head, and it features a reversible 1/4 inch -20 to 3/8 inch-16 mounting stud. The base of the monopod incorporates a tripod foot base for added stability, which features a locking ball joint with a tilt range of up to 36 degrees and rubber tipped feet for added traction. The quick release mounting plate can be attached directly to the tripod foot base to form a mini tripod for macro photography or tabletop use.

The included VH-10X fluid video head uses a fluid system to produce smooth pans and tilt movements for DSLRs and compact video cameras weighing up to 3.9kg. It features an independent pan locking knob and uses an internal spring assisted counterbalance mechanism for smoother tilt movements with heavier cameras. It includes an Arca type quick release plate.
