This hardens up upon impact, dissipating crash forces and helping prevent injury. However, when you're on the bike and moving and pedalling, the D3O is soft and flexible, keeping you fully mobile. Not only are the pads flexible, but with their combination of stretch materials and mesh back, they're comfortable and cool to wear too.

At the thigh and calf, elastic grippers with silicone inner provide a secure fit. And if you ride with Sixsixone protective shorts, the Padlock system lets you easily integrate the knee pads and shorts.
