The constant F4 aperture means you get stunning image quality even in low light. Are you filming? This powerful zoom uses Handycam technology to provide smooth zooming that is difficult to achieve manually. It's also very quiet so you won't startle your protagonists, while the integrated zoom lever allows you to maintain an even zoom speed.

Known for their quality, G Series lenses offer excellent imaging performance with maximum contrast right to the edges of the image. The lens' builtin optical SteadyShot image stabilisation system ensures crisp, blurfree photos and video for handheld shooting. Instead of a standard polygon shaped aperture, this lens offers a circular aperture with 7 blades for a natural, soft bokeh.

Aspherical lens elements ensure minimal distortion, while ED (Extralow Dispersion) glass elements ensure outstanding contrast, resolution and colour depth. The integrated focusing mechanism ensures a constant lens length, is easy to use and has a fast autofocus and a small minimum focus distance. In addition, the filter thread on the front of the lens does not rotate a clear advantage when using polarizing filters.
