This design minimised the chance of vibration. The large cut outs ensure good ventilation and aid in keeping the rotor cool. The stainless steel material used is extremely robust.

These will suit all AVID or SRAM brakes - plus most other brands. Weight for a 160g rotor is 112g. The "square edges" or "rounded edges" refers to the outer edges of the rotor.

The newer version has the edges rounded to make them easier to line up during wheel changes and less likely to cut in crashes.
