Body Construction The Stentor Student I model is exquisitely carved from solid tonewoods for a long-lasting feel. With a carved spruce front and carved maple back and ribs, the violin has a luxury feel and appearance despite its reasonable price. Neck The violin is fitted with a carved maple neck which offers a smooth feel in the hand as you make your way along. Topping the neck is a blackened kunTian hardwood fingerboard for a traditional and comfortable playing surface. Hardware and Accessories Hardware is well-constructed, consisting of high quality rosewood pegs and a composite alloy tailpiece with integral adjusters.
