It offers players a bright and rich sound, thanks to its 16 pau rosa bars ranging from C2 to A3 in a diatonic scale. The SX 1600 also comes with F# and Bb bars, so it’s easy to experiment and create unique scales. Studio 49 also makes it easy to see the notes with note names stamped on each bar.

A resonator box of solid pine with multiple resonance chambers complements the tonal vibrations of the pau rosa with ample projection.
