Superb Solid Brass Bat Door Knocker

These quirky bat door knocker from Castelion are made from cast brass using traditional sand casting techniques. The bat hangs from a log, behind which is the fixing point. The head of the bat is rapped against the striking plate at the bottom.

The excellent detail of the casting shows the bat's folded wings, feet and head. Sizes: 140mm (5 1/2′′) high x 50mm (2′′) wide. The top fixing is under the bat's feet and the lower fixing under the striking plate, which are the only parts that touch the door and are 120mm (4 3/4′′) apart.
