The product is primarily used for electrical insulation around cables, connectors, joints and terminals however it can also be used to prevent the penetration of dust or water.

It is a flexible flame retardant 2:1 shrink ratio heat shrinkable tubing which has been designed for a number of applications like insulation, marking purposes, strain relief and mechanical protection. The SWA SP6EU pack comes complete with a total of 15 lengths/tubes (3 of each colour) black, blue, brown, green/yellow and grey. It also features a standard-grade polyolefin heat wrap which is self-extinguishing and helps comply with RoHS standards.

In addition, the tubing has the ability to shrink at comparatively low temperatures of 100 degrees Celsius with the pack having operating temperatures between -55 degrees Celsius and +125 degrees Celsius. The flexible construction provides great insulation properties, it can be printed on without adhesive, does not melt and is resistant to cold flow. It is an easy-to-use cable management tool whereby you can simply shrink with a hot airgun or naked flame.
