Some of the innovations Tama uses is the Spring Seat and Swing Lock Clutch. These allow increased resonance and a more natural sound out of your Hi-Hat cymbals. Tama has replaced the traditional pull rod mechanism with a Lever design.

Iron Cobra version uses roller bearings at the lever fulcrum for even smoother footboard action while a super-strong Kevlar strap connects the footboard and pull rod for even, noise-free action.
