The new model version is equipped with Tamron's proven VXD autofocus (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) with a linear motor, which focuses quickly and precisely on the subject for both photos and videos. The lens is compatible with the Tamron Lens Utility and the Tamron Lens Utility Mobile App. Both applications have been developed by Tamron and allow for custom configuration of the lens to optimally adapt its functionality to the specific shooting situation.
