Since both decks of the 202MKVII can record simultaneously, you have the ability to make two recordings of the same event at the same time. There is a zero rewind (RTZ) and repeat function, and you can play back tapes slower or faster (changing the pitch as well), which is useful for karaoke or sports activities, for example.

A microphone input on the front panel allows spontaneous recordings (solo or mixed with a line input signal or a cassette).
