The TDA circuit utilises discrete Class A FET technology in conjunction with a high quality transformer, resulting in the perfect balance between clean sound with plenty of headroom and a warm, saturated tone.

At the heart of the circuit is a specially wound output transformer from OEP/Carnhill (made in the UK). The circuit utilises gold plated traces and is fully hand assembled with through-hole components (THT), which provide a more secure and reliable connection than surface mount components. The frequency response of the circuit is ± 2dB from 20 Hz to 70 kHz with extremely low distortion and noise.

Each individual unit is optimised by hand for the lowest possible distortion. The high input impedance does not affect passive pickups. This attention to detail and the high-quality components result in a DI box that combines a harmonically rich low-end with a detailed and clear high-end.

The circuitry is housed in an extremely robust pressed aluminium enclosure with recessed switches and connections. This construction is practically indestructible and can easily cope with the daily demands of concert use. Each channel has two robust switches for activating a 15 dB attenuation and the ground lift.

The circuit is powered by the standard +48V phantom power supply and an LED indicates the operating status. It offers two independent channels with separate controls, allowing two instruments to be connected with just one DI box on stage or in the studio.
