The Cutter Mattock has a horizontal mattock edge at one end and a vertical one at the other. The heads of both tools are manufactured from forged alloy steel, hardened and tempered, with a black painted finish. The handles are made from double injected fibreglass with a solid core for added strength and have polypropylene covers for reduced vibration and added comfort.
