That is they feature a knuckle cutaway, finger rest and a unique tapered interior. At the opening the walls are 4mm thick and by the end of the slide, where the fingertip needs additional grip and mass, they are 6-8mm. These thick walls are around double what you would find on a typical glass bottleneck slide.

The overall thickness of the slide will get the strings singing, whilst the thick tip can act as a boost to help bring out low notes and lead lines. As with the other glass slides in the Rock Slide range, these slides are hand-moulded by expert lampworkers. Even though they are a little longer than the brass Rock Slides, they are both lighter and faster, making them an excellent choice for electric guitarists.
