It enhances the freedom of playing, allowing for faster and easier movement of the ring- and little finger, and prevents fatigue of the thumb and hand. The Etude makes it possible to move the pressure point of the thumb rest to the first phalanx of the thumb or the space between the two joints, reducing the lever momentum and making it easier to support the weight. This allows for more energy to be used for handling the instrument, improving control and playing technique.

The Etude3 has a new metal hook covered with soft rubber and a casing with improved ergonomics. The hook is adjustable in height. The design features better materials and a redesigned dove tail slide and mounting slide to improve the physical strength of the product.
