This engine oil pump includes the engine oil pick up tube prebuilt into the assembly. Inside of the pick up tube is a screen that prevents any dirt, debris, or sludge from entering the oil pump to prevent any engine damage. If the vehicle has experienced a lack of service this screen can clog causing oil pressure issues which can result in catastrophic engine failure.
