You can use this chest rig by itself for storing items such as binoculars when hunting or run it for combat by removing the top flap and adding mag inserts (mag inserts not included). Single, double, and triple mag pouches from the VX system can be attached to the hook and loop on the interior of the pouch or the lid.

The lid itself is relocatable or removable for your desired setup. Both the torso and shoulder straps feature quick-release buckles for speedy donning. It's these buckles that clip into the VX Plate Carrier for an advanced combat setup.
