What's Included? 1 x Patient Lifting Aid 1 x 2-Point Spreader Bar 1 x Control Handset Please note: The sling attachment is sold separately. What Is This Patient Hoist For? Patient hoists are designed for safe transfers of patients with limited or impaired mobility. The sling attachment is designed to work with the lift (sold separately), and can be used to lift patients from a variety of positions, and up from as low as floor level.
Once the patient has been comfortably positioned in the sling, the entire unit can be moved for easier transfers that require less strength and effort from carers. Who Can Use This Universal Hoist? The SLK Carry 185 Classic is designed for patients who measure up to 2.1m maximum in height, and have a 185kg maximum weight. This patient hoist is the ideal solution for transporting patients in home-care environments.
How Do I Use the Passive Hoist? To use the hoist, first you must check that the patient weight and height is appropriate for use with this particular model, then clear the area around the hoist before beginning to help them into it. First, help the patient into the sling (sold separately) from the position that they are in. Ensure the sling is secure and properly lined up with the patient's body.
Securely attach the sling, while worn by the patient, to the hoist. Double check that all attachments are secure before using the lift function. The patient will need to be slowly lifted, using the handset, until they are hovering high enough above the surface that their feet will not drag along it once moving.
Once lifted high enough you can begin to transport the patient. Important Information: To ensure maximum safety, do not leave patients unattended in the hoist at any stage of the lifting and transfer process. Does This Patient Lift Come With a Spreader Bar? This Patient Lift comes complete with a SLK 2-Point Spreader Bar.
The spreader bar is designed for comfortable transport, and comes complete with a spring lock to help prevent accidental release of the patient sling. Which Slings Are Compatible With The Carry 185 Patient Transfer Aid?
