There is also a special quick cooking feature on this model. The Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 has an automatic keep-warm function which keeps rice at an ideal serving temperature until Its ready to be served. There is a countdown feature during the cooking cycle and when the rice is cooked a tune is played and the cooker automatically shifts to keep warm mode.
